Sales Made Easy came to the wizards looking for a complete brand revamp and support with sales materials as well as an engaging animated explainer video to sit proudly on their new website. Their vision was clear, to be engaging, fresh, non-corporate and packed full of personality.
Their vision was clear: to transform the sales profession into a career your parents would be proud of and make sure that sales would no longer be a dirty word. Tired of the corporate feel of competing brands, SME were aiming for bold, beautiful and jargon-free content and branding that would excite and delight their audience.
The vision stage was all about identifying competitors and eliminating what they didn’t want to be. As well as exploring trends and brands that were doing great things in the marketplace, it was a chance to explore illustration styles and the tone and themes that SME were keen to emulate.
With a clear direction in mind and the agreement that we would be focusing on type-based identities, the wizards set to work developing some new concepts for the logo. It had to engage and excite its audience and stand out in the crowded marketplace. Because of the thorough discovery and vision stages, the wizards managed to delight the clients and after a few rounds of amends, tweaks to colours and some examples of activation, it was time to develop the logo identity into a brand.
During the development stage, we used some of SME’s current marketing materials and transformed them with the new branding to showcase, with real-world examples of how the brand could and should be activated across various touchpoints. During this stage, we collaborated closely with our web partners to bring some initial website concepts to life.
Brand guidelines are a crucial part of any re-brand and this document was and is used as a toolkit and how-to guide for activating the brand, wherever it’s seen. Exploring print and digital documents, social media content developing bespoke illustrations was a key stage and allowed the creation of the explainer video to run smoothly.
With a robust set of guidelines in place, bespoke design and illustration, the wizards had a clear direction for the animation production. Additionally, because we knew the business inside and out by now, developing an engaging script was smooth sailing. The video sits proudly on the new website to engage viewers and is used as part of a wider marketing campaign.
